Job summary

Tech Systems Inc. (TSi) is seeking a Field Service Technician to repair, install, and maintain security systems at client sites, including access control, video security, intrusion, and intercom systems.

You will respond to service calls, install to standards, and read blueprints. The role requires two years of commercial security experience, networking and IP skills, and the ability to work independently with strong customer service, time management, and safe working practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years in commercial security systems installation or service.
• Must have networking skills and 1 year programming access/video systems.
• Factory/internal security system certifications to work independently.
• Basic computer skills with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Smartsheet and IP/IT knowledge.
• Excellent customer service and sense of urgency.
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls within assigned area and restore systems to full functionality.
• Install systems according to Tech Systems Installation Standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Update tickets and communicate status to Customer Service.
• Accurately account for company inventory and resources.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections according to policy.
• Assist with other technical support issues as needed.
• Attend to duties assigned by the Regional Manager or executive staff.
