Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join its US ADC Security Engineering team to develop tools and automation for Amazon Dedicated Clouds (ADCs) and Cleared Programs.

You will own security engineering efforts, build extensible tooling, and ensure secure, scalable operations in a US Government-classified environment. The role requires US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Qualifications

3+ years of professional software development experience.
2+ years designing or architecting scalable systems.
Bachelor's degree or CSSLP certification.
Current TS/SCI security clearance.

Responsibilities

Architect and implement enterprise-scale security solutions from conception to production.
Design and develop high-availability distributed software with emphasis on security, scalability, and fault tolerance.
Architect and implement zero-trust security models for critical infrastructure components.
Design and build custom APIs and middleware solutions for security system integration.
Develop advanced automation frameworks for infrastructure as code (IaC) deployment and configuration management.
Create sophisticated monitoring and alerting systems using machine learning for anomaly detection.
Implement cryptographic solutions for secure communication between distributed systems.
Design and implement custom authentication and authorization protocols.
Lead technical design reviews and security architecture assessments.
Mentor junior engineers and establish technical best practices.
