Job summary

Amazon AWS Security is seeking a driven Software Development Engineer to join the US ADC Security Engineering team. You will develop tools and automation to support ADCs and Cleared Programs, ensuring security and reliability in a classified environment.

Responsibilities include building high-availability software, zero-trust models, APIs, IaC automation, and advanced monitoring. A TS/SCI clearance is required, with polygraph, and ongoing security processes after start.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Current, active TS/SCI US Government Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement enterprise-scale security solutions from conception to production.
• Design and develop high-availability distributed software with emphasis on security, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Architect and implement zero-trust security models for critical infrastructure components.
• Design and build custom APIs and middleware solutions for security system integration.
• Develop advanced automation frameworks for infrastructure as code (IaC) deployment and configuration management.
• Create sophisticated monitoring and alerting systems using machine learning for anomaly detection.
• Implement cryptographic solutions for secure communication between distributed systems.
• Lead technical design reviews and security architecture assessments.
• Mentor junior engineers and establish technical best practices.
