Job summary

Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic Security Technician to install, program, system start-up/check-out, certify, and train customers on assigned projects of varying complexity.

You will read blueprints and wiring diagrams, troubleshoot issues, demonstrate systems, and collaborate with project managers to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

This role emphasizes exceptional customer service, travel to local job sites, and participation in Convergint’s training and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience.
• Minimum Experience: 3-5 years relevant.
• Preferred Experience: relevant field service and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Installs, programs, tests, and services security systems and related equipment.
• Reads basic blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine installation procedures.
• Demonstrates equipment operation, system start-ups, and conducts certification testing.
• Provides customer training and maximizes customer satisfaction.
• Coordinates with project managers to manage timelines, budgets, and scope.
