Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to join our culture-driven team in Wichita, KS. You will install, program, start-up, certify, and train customers on assigned projects, including small to less complex deployments.

You will work with a dynamic team and have opportunities to grow with Convergint’s expansion. You should bring a strong customer-service mindset, basic mechanical and electrical aptitude, and a willingness to learn about fire alarm and electronic security systems.

Qualifications

• Education: High School/GED or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of relevant field service preferred.
• Ability to travel locally to jobsites.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Customer-focused with strong service orientation.
• Interest in fire alarm or electronics systems welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, and service security systems per project scope.
• Provide customer training on assigned systems.
• Interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams to install equipment.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure timelines and budgets.
• Maintain documentation and assist in startup and certification testing.
