Job summary

Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven Security Technician to join our Midland team. You will install, program, startup, certify, and train customers on assigned projects, including small or less complex ones, ensuring high quality service.

You’ll work with a dynamic team, read blueprints and manuals, use test instruments, and help drive customer satisfaction while growing with Convergint.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused and able to work under pressure.
• Willing to learn technical skills related to fire alarm systems and electronic security systems.
• Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude with hand/power tools.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel locally to jobsites; minimal overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repairs, and service a variety of systems including security and life-safety.
• Read blueprints, schematics, manuals to determine installation procedures.
• Operate and commission systems, demonstrate equipment, and write routine programs.
• Coordinate with Project Manager/Operations Manager and assist in project planning.
• Identify risks and help develop strategies to minimize impact and control costs.
