Convergint Technologies, LLC in Wichita, KS is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, start‑up, certify and train on security, life‑safety, and building automation systems across a range of projects. You’ll join a dynamic team committed to service excellence.

The ideal candidate has strong customer focus, solid mechanical and electrical aptitude, and a willingness to learn. A valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally to jobsites are required.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Willing to learn skills related to fire alarm and electronic security systems.
• Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
• Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude with hand tools and power tools.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel locally to jobsites on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services a variety of systems and equipment including security, fire alarm and life-safety, and/or building automation.
• Interprets manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams; performs repairs using electronics knowledge.
• Operates systems to demonstrate equipment and completes start-up activities.
• Provides customer training and ongoing technical support.
• Collaborates with Project Manager to coordinate projects and identify areas for improvement.
