Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, start-up, certify and train customers on diverse security and life safety systems. You will work on projects of varying complexity while growing within a collaborative culture.

You should have strong customer service focus, solid programming skills, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. Expect local travel and a team-driven environment that values safety and excellence.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Solid technical skills with security systems and life safety.
• Strong programming skills and troubleshooting ability.
• Able to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, and service security, fire alarm and life safety systems.
• Train customers and document commissioning and start-up.
• Interpret wiring diagrams and manuals to determine installation procedures.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure on-time project delivery.
• Provide technical support and mentor junior staff.
