Job summary

NMS is seeking a Security Captain to lead security services across client locations, including remote environments in Alaska. You will supervise security personnel, enforce policies, and maintain strong client relationships while supporting effective security operations in public and office settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of at least two (2) years of post‑secondary education preferred; if not, two (2) years of related security/military/law enforcement experience required.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of full‑time professional experience in security, law enforcement, or military service.
• Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory or leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assign security personnel to posts and patrols with appropriate staffing.
• Supervise daily security operations and ensure compliance with client requirements and policies.
• Interpret and enforce security policies, post orders, and procedures.
• Develop and maintain understanding of staffing requirements and document business processes.
• Prepare employee work schedules and review leave requests for approval.
• Maintain communication with clients to address security concerns and improve service delivery.
• Review incident reports and other operational documentation for resolution.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and stakeholders as necessary.
• Develop and update security post orders and documentation.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and respond to issues outside normal hours.
• Provide transportation and emergency medical response within training scope.
