Job summary

NMS is seeking a Remote Security Sergeant to lead security operations at remote client locations with two weeks on/off rotations, based at Anchorage Towers. The role emphasizes leadership, policy compliance, and client communication to maintain safety and service quality.

The position requires extensive security experience, supervisory ability, licenses, and ability to work in a remote camp environment, with responsibilities spanning incident response and coordination with authorities.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of full-time professional security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Two+ years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to obtain Alaska Guard License prior to start.
• Ability to obtain State of Alaska Armed Guard License upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily security operations and personnel.
• Assign personnel to posts and patrols; ensure appropriate staffing.
• Enforce security policies, procedures, and post orders.
• Understand client needs and document processes; manage staffing.
• Prepare schedules and review leave requests.
• Maintain communication with clients to improve service delivery and satisfaction.
• Review incident reports and conduct investigations as needed.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders.
• Provide transportation and basic medical assistance per training.
• Work in remote camp environment; uphold safety and sanitation standards.
