Job summary

Sheppard Pratt in Elkridge, MD is seeking a Security Operations Center Officer for a Flex Shift to oversee daily security operations across hospital campuses. This full-time role involves monitoring CCTV, responding to emergencies, and coordinating with local police, fire, and EMS to protect patients, staff, and visitors.

Schedule: Flex days, evenings, nights; 40 hours weekly. Requires high school diploma and exceptional customer service with strong emergency guidelines knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Exceptional customer service skills and knowledge of guidelines for emergency situations.
• Must be able to work day, evening and overnight shifts as needed.
• May require travel between SP properties.
• Must be able to respond to critical incidents with little or no advance notice.

Responsibilities

• Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and record significant information.
• Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and facility computers.
• Communicate with security and safety teams to assure business continuity.
• Coordinate actions with Police, Fire, and EMS.
• Assist with dispatch of officers, vehicles, or field units.
• Provide officers with information from 3rd parties about code calls and safety conditions.
• Enter data and maintain logs and records.
