Allied Universal in Sparrows Point, MD, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to patrol a logistics center, deter incidents, and provide professional customer service. The role focuses on routine patrols, observing and reporting security concerns, and maintaining a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, observe and report security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking areas, entrances, employee spaces, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed by site policy, and document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in required reports.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by reporting hazards, damaged property, and unusual conditions to site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
