Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Perimeter Patrol at our Sparrows Point, MD distribution site. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access, and maintain visible security presence to deter incidents while delivering strong customer service.

You’ll follow site procedures, respond calmly to incidents, and document activities. This role emphasizes reliability, integrity, and teamwork within a community-focused security team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check conducted per federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screening required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing may be required depending on state/local rules.
• Driver’s license required only for driving positions.

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the distribution center and perimeter.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and maintain visitor/incident documentation.
• Report hazards, damaged property, and suspicious activity according to site procedures.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting. You will deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, team-oriented culture grounded in integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation.

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sat: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sun: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the distribution center, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, and delivery drivers, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Report observed hazards, damaged property, suspicious activity, and other security-related concerns according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
