Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer at our Sparrows Point, MD distribution center to protect clients across retail and warehouse settings. Expect unarmed patrols, a strong customer-service approach, and a visible presence aimed at deterrence and safety.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and promptly per site requirements.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail distribution center.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry, and report unauthorized activity or unusual conditions to site leadership.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations accurately and promptly in accordance with site requirements.
