Allied Universal® is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Perimeter Patrol at a warehouse location in Sparrows Point, MD. You will provide customer service, deter security incidents, and support access control while maintaining a visible presence.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required per federal, state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will conduct drug screening as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and deliveries while enforcing site policies and procedures.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies with calm, notify site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the distribution center, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, and drivers; maintain visitor/incident logs.
• Report hazards, damaged property, suspicious activity, and other security concerns per site procedures.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.


• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the distribution center, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.


• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, and delivery drivers, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.


• Report observed hazards, damaged property, suspicious activity, and other security-related concerns according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
