Meta’s Security Foundations group seeks a Security Engineer Lead to scope, design, and champion company-wide security solutions. You will shape technical direction across Identity, Cryptography, AI security, and Cloud domains, and coordinate with engineers, analysts, and product teams.

You’ll develop threat models, translate business needs into secure architectures, and communicate tradeoffs to senior leadership, balancing risk with speed as Meta grows.

Qualifications

• Minimum: B.S. in CS or related field.
• Strong track record in driving cross-company security initiatives.
• Experience communicating security risk and tradeoffs to leadership.
• Hands-on engineering experience across security and software teams.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for security solutions and platforms across the company.
• Identify highest-risk items and lead threat modeling and solutions.
• Define identification, authorization, and auditing for AI agents across Meta's infrastructure.
• Balance security with friction and cost to keep momentum.
• Drive solution design and lead implementation when needed.
• Foster partnerships to translate business and regulatory needs into secure tradeoffs.
• Present credibly to senior leaders (VPs, CTO, CISO) to drive decisions.
