Job summary

Meta is seeking a Security Engineer Lead within Security Foundations to scope, design, and champion security solutions across the company. This breadth role spans Identity and Access Management, Cryptography, AI Security, and Cloud Security, requiring you to set direction across domains rather than owning a single area.

You will build threat models, drive platform-level controls, and translate regulatory requirements into concrete tradeoffs while partnering with security, infra, and legal teams

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a BS in CS or related field.
• Deep technical expertise in at least one security domain.
• Experience driving large cross-company engineering initiatives.
• Experience communicating and influencing across functions.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for security solutions and platforms across the company.
• Lead development of threat models for multiple domains.
• Define how AI agents are identified, authorized, and audited across Meta’s infrastructure.
• Navigate security vs. friction to keep the company moving securely.
• Drive solution design including architecture and implementation when needed.
• Build partnerships across security, infra, corporate engineering, and legal to translate requirements.
