Job summary

Allied Universal in Maiden, NC is seeking a dedicated Security Officer Dispatch Communications to join our technology-focused site. This full-time role supports a dynamic environment and requires reliable, professional communication and incident handling.

You will monitor alarms, cameras, and access-control systems, document activities, and dispatch security personnel as needed while maintaining accurate logs and reports for shift handoffs and incident reviews.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor incoming communications, alarms, cameras, and access-control systems; document activity and dispatch appropriate personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Receive, prioritize, and relay routine and urgent calls for service to security-related staff, facilities teams, and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining clear communication with stakeholders and following established escalation protocols.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, visitor-related records, and shift handoff information; conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned.
