Job summary

Burlington is hiring a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment and deliver excellent customer service. You will greet customers warmly, monitor entrances, and report theft incidents to the Manager on Duty. The role requires standing for long periods and collaborating with store leadership.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor the store environment.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to engage customers and associates.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances/exits and high‑risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet every customer with a warm smile and energetic greeting while maintaining a professional appearance.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious subjects to the Manager on Duty.
• Conduct bag and package checks for store and corporate associates, following safety standards.
