Job summary

Convergint Technologies, LLC seeks a full-time Security Technician to install, program, and start-up fire, security, and building automation systems across varied projects. You will train customers and mentor junior staff while delivering high-quality service on time and within budget.

You will read blueprints, configure equipment, and troubleshoot complex systems, collaborating closely with project teams to ensure safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in electronic, fire alarm & life safety, or building automation.
• College degree, trade school, or equivalent experience.
• Certification in Genetec, Lenel, Softwarehouse, Avigilon, or other enterprise-level systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repair, and service security, fire, and building automation systems.
• Read blueprints and wiring diagrams to determine installation requirements.
• Operate and commission systems and provide customer training.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Mentor less-experienced staff and support continuous improvement.
