Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, and approve fire, security, and building automation systems on projects of varying complexity. You will train customers and serve as the technical interface, ensuring satisfaction and safety.

You will work with a dynamic team, mentor junior staff, and contribute to on-time, on-budget project delivery while upholding the company’s values and standards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated customer focus and accountability.
• Strong technical skills in building automation and life-safety systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams.
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic software concepts.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, and service security, fire, and building automation systems.
• Read schematics and wiring diagrams to determine installation requirements.
• Coordinate with project management to meet timelines and budgets.
• Provide customer training and technical support on site.
• Mentor less-experienced staff and ensure safety standards.
