Job summary

Robinhood in Menlo Park or Bellevue seeks a Software Engineer for the Proactive Capabilities team to build scalable security tooling and automation that reduces attacker impact.

You will design AI-driven agents and security workflows, partner with Security and Product teams, and participate in on-call rotations to keep services reliable and secure for users. In-person attendance is required at least 3 days per week in CA/WA offices.

Qualifications

• Proven software engineering fundamentals and scalable microservices design.
• Go or Python proficiency, with Go preferred.
• Experience deploying services in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Solid knowledge of containers and Kubernetes.
• Security-aware mindset and ability to work across ambiguous problems.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale security tooling and services to improve visibility and scan coverage.
• Design and deploy AI agents and automation workflows for proactive security risk discovery.
• Collaborate with Security and Product Engineering to embed secure-by-default patterns.
• Contribute to design and system reviews for Proactive Security initiatives.
• Participate in on-call rotations to maintain high availability for security services.
