Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Staff Offensive Security Engineer to strengthen defenses across applications, infrastructure, and physical environments. You will plan and execute red team exercises, mentor team members, and collaborate with engineering to prioritize risk and remediation.

You will work in Bellevue, WA, New York, NY, or Menlo Park, CA with in-person attendance at least 3 days per week, helping advance security across a high-growth fintech platform.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in red team operations or advanced pentesting.
• Experience mentoring other security engineers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across technical and executive levels.
• Deep knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Experience with MacOS and Linux.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerized stacks.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute red team exercises simulating real-world attack scenarios.
• Perform threat modeling and penetration testing across apps, infra, and corporate environments.
• Develop scripts and tools to automate security testing activities.
• Partner with detection and response teams to run adversarial simulations and improve incident readiness.
• Communicate findings clearly and work with engineering teams to remediate risks.
• Lead security incidents when pentest or red team findings require them.
• Plan and participate in adversarial simulation exercises with security teams.
