Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Software Engineer for the Proactive Capabilities team in Bellevue, WA or Menlo Park, CA. The role focuses on building scalable security tooling and automation to eliminate threats and reduce toil for engineers.

You will design AI agents, deploy security workflows, and work cross-functionally to establish secure-by-default design patterns. In-person attendance is expected at least 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• Proficient in building scalable security tooling and microservices.
• Hands-on with cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes required.
• Experience with security tooling and threat prevention.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous problem spaces.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale security tooling and services to improve visibility and coverage.
• Design AI agents and security automation workflows for proactive risk discovery.
• Collaborate with Security and Product Engineering to enforce secure-by-default practices.
• Participate in design reviews and on-call rotations for critical services.
• Contribute to Proactive Security initiatives across the team.
