Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Software Engineer for the Proactive Capabilities team to design, build, and scale security tooling that empowers engineers and reduces toil. You will identify high-value security challenges and turn solutions into company-wide capabilities.

The role requires building scalable microservices, deploying in cloud environments, and collaborating across security and product teams. In-person work is expected at three days per week in Bellevue, WA and Menlo Park, CA.

Qualifications

• Proven software engineering fundamentals and scalable systems design.
• Experience with microservices, Go or Python, and cloud deployments.
• Knowledge of containerization, Kubernetes, and security tooling.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale security tooling and services to improve visibility and scan coverage.
• Design and deploy AI agents and security automation workflows.
• Collaborate with Security and Product Engineering to implement secure-by-default patterns.
• Contribute to design and system reviews for Proactive Security initiatives.
• Participate in on-call rotations to maintain high availability of critical services.
