Job summary

Robinhood’s Proactive Capabilities team seeks a Software Engineer to design and scale security tooling across the company. This hybrid role is based in Bellevue, WA / Menlo Park, CA with in-person collaboration required several days per week.

You will build AI-powered security workflows, partner with Security and Product Engineering, and help close attack paths. A strong background in Go or Python and cloud-native microservices is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with scalable microservices experience.
• Experience building security tooling and automation.
• Familiarity with attacker lifecycle and application security concepts.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous problems and propose high-value solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale flexible, reliable security tooling and services that improve visibility and expand scan coverage across Robinhood and its entities.
• Design and deploy AI agents and security automation workflows to drive and prevent proactive security risk discovery and remediation.
• Partner cross-functionally with Security Engineering and Product Engineering teams to establish secure-by-default software design patterns and paved paths.
• Participate in design and system reviews alongside Proactive Security initiatives.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to maintain high availability and reliability for critical team security services.
