Job summary

Novogradac is seeking a Property Compliance Analyst to perform tenant file reviews for Section 42, focusing on income eligibility under 24 CFR Part 5. The role requires strong regulatory knowledge, analytic judgment, and the ability to meet deadlines in a deadline-driven environment.

Based in the US, some positions may offer remote or hybrid arrangements; travel about 25–35% is expected. A high school diploma is required, with a preference for a Bachelor's and COS/HCCP certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 3+ years of Section 42 experience focused on 24 CFR Part 5.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; COS/HCCP certifications strongly preferred; willingness to obtain within 1 year.
• Understanding of HOTMA and tenant file compliance rules.
• Strong communication, organizational skills; ability to meet deadlines and work evenings/weekends; travel 25–35%
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre- and post-occupancy tenant file compliance reviews and reports for designated clients, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Identify, analyze, and communicate potential problem areas during engagements, recommending actions as appropriate.
• Conduct research related to federal and/or state compliance regulations and apply findings with supervisory guidance as needed.
• Work within a deadline-driven environment with oversight as needed to meet established productivity and accuracy standards.
• Meet or exceed established file review productivity benchmarks.
• Develop effective client relationships through professionalism and follow-through.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
