Job summary

Novogradac & Company LLP is seeking a Property Compliance Analyst in an environment that emphasizes accuracy and regulatory diligence. You will review tenant files for Section 42 compliance, focusing on 24 CFR Part 5 income eligibility, and apply regulations with guidance as needed.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to travel domestically up to 35%. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred and COS/HCCP certifications are welcomed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 3 years of relevant Section 42 experience with a focus on 24 CFR Part 5 income eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Relevant professional certifications (COS, HCCP) strongly preferred.
• Certifications encouraged within one year of employment.
• Understanding HOTMA and housing regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
• Travel domestically 25–35% depending on workload.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre- and post-occupancy tenant file compliance reviews and reports.
• Identify potential problem areas and communicate recommendations.
• Research federal/state compliance regulations and apply findings with supervision.
• Work in a deadline-driven environment with oversight as needed.
• Meet or exceed file review productivity benchmarks.
• Develop client relationships through professionalism and follow-through.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
