Job summary

Novogradac is seeking a Property Compliance Analyst in Cleveland, OH (or other locations) to support Section 42 tenant file reviews focused on income eligibility under 24 CFR Part 5. Under supervision, you will interpret regulations and ensure timely, accurate compliance engagements.

The role requires 3+ years of Section 42 experience, a high school diploma (Bachelor’s preferred), and willingness to travel 25-35%.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Section 42 experience with focus on 24 CFR Part 5 income eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; COS/HCCP certifications strongly preferred; willingness to obtain within 1 year.
• Understanding of HOTMA and housing compliance rules.
• Strong initiative, judgment, and problem-solving in regulatory contexts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; detail-oriented and deadline-driven.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre- and post-occupancy tenant file compliance reviews and reports for designated clients, ensuring accuracy and regulatory adherence.
• Identify, analyze, and communicate potential problem areas; recommend actions.
• Research federal/state compliance regulations and apply findings under supervision.
• Meet productivity and accuracy standards in a deadline-driven environment.
• Develop client relationships with professionalism and follow-through.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
