Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Implementations Network Engineer for Scott AFB, IL to install, configure, test, and activate network equipment for DoD DISA projects.

The role requires US citizenship and an active Secret clearance; BS degree with 2-4 years' relevant experience; familiarity with BGP/ISIS, Cisco/Juniper devices, and network services. The position emphasizes coordination with DISA project managers and customers and is governed by DoD security requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires BS degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Active Secret clearance is required and DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
• Experience with network services (BGP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, WAN, VPN, VLAN, VRF, etc.) and network appliances.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation oversight, configuration, testing, monitoring, servicing of network equipment and activation of networks for projects supporting the DoD networks.
• Configure and maintain out-of-band management networks using baseline configurations for each site.
• Upgrade software on Cisco and Juniper devices and ensure proper documentation for IP addressing and interfaces.
• Engage with project managers and customers to resolve issues and obtain approvals to move forward with service requests.
