Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Implementations Network Engineer at Scott AFB, IL to oversee installation, configuration, testing and servicing of network equipment for DoD projects. The role requires a Secret clearance to start and DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).

Responsibilities include IT&A execution, DISA standards compliance, IP addressing planning, and coordinating with DISA project managers and customers to resolve issues and ensure timely service activation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of network hardware specs, configuration and testing.
• Experience with data/voice networks and military/commercial protocols.
• Experience with services (BGP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, WAN, VPN, VLAN, VRF).
• Ability to work in a team and communicate clearly; active Secret clearance required.
• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Perform customer coordination, IT&A, reporting, and data input for new equipment activations.
• Configure and maintain out-of-band management networks using Cisco/Juniper devices.
• Upgrade software on Cisco and Juniper devices.
• Create project planning docs for IP addressing schemes and port assignments.
• Conduct systems analysis and determine hardware/software requirements.
• Verify POC and location accuracy, and engage stakeholders to keep progress moving.
