Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Implementations Network Engineer for Scott AFB, IL to oversee installation, configuration, testing and activation of networks supporting DISA services. The role requires a Secret clearance and DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 certification, with hands-on experience in Cisco/Juniper devices and multi-vendor network configurations.

Responsibilities include IT&A, IP addressing planning, data input accuracy, and stakeholder coordination to ensure timely service delivery in a DoD environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge of network hardware specifications, configuration and testing.
• Experience in network engineering, problem and performance management.
• Knowledge of networking architecture and evaluating new technologies.
• Experience with BGP/ISIS, VLANs, and multi-vendor configurations.
• Hands-on with services (BGP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, WAN, VPN, VLAN, VRF) and devices (routers, load balancers, firewalls).
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively; self-driven to complete assignments.
• Strong written and verbal communications and collaboration skills.
• Active Secret security clearance required.
• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with customers and manage IT&A reporting and data input for new network activations.
• Configure and maintain DISA’s out-of-band management network with Cisco/Juniper devices.
• Upgrade software on Cisco and Juniper devices.
• Create/update project planning docs for IP addressing schemes and port assignments.
• Analyze requirements with users to determine hardware/software needs.
• Verify POC, location, and interface data per requirements.
• Confirm POC for each circuit traversal location.
• Engage project managers and customers to resolve issues and secure approvals.
