Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Principal Mechanical Engineer for the Command and Launch Infrastructure Integration team in Roy, UT. The role focuses on developing PDPs, 3-D modeling, and integration across IPTs to solve complex problems within the Sentinel GBSD program.

The candidate will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and field operations, using Siemens NX and Teamcenter CPLM to deliver robust design solutions.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in STEM with related experience; master’s for higher level.
• US Citizen with active Secret clearance; SAP access capability.
• Experience with design/fabrication techniques for structural details/assemblies.
• Experience with PLM/PDM tools and 3-D modeling.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement deployable mechanical mechanisms verified through test/analysis.
• Develop CAD models visualizing various design solutions.
• Deliver PDPs on time to meet program objectives.
• Develop Infrastructure Integration PDPs with element teams to eliminate disconnects and design clashes.
• Identify gaps in design or requirements and provide cost-effective resolutions.
• Ensure PDPs meet design requirements from item specifications.
