Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal or Sr. Principal Mechanical Engineer in Roy, UT to support the Sentinel program. You will design, develop, and deploy launch-equipment hardware for ICBM facilities, collaborating with users and engineers across disciplines.

The role requires a strong CAD background (Siemens NX), system-level thinking, and proven leadership of design teams. Secret clearance is required; relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years experience; or Master’s with 3+ years.
• Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
• Minimum 5 years CAD modeling experience (Siemens NX preferred).
• 5+ years mechanical engineering focusing on mechanical systems.
• Experience with ISO, ASME, Mil Spec, NAS.

Responsibilities

• Serve as mechanical designer for mechanisms on a major program.
• Research, plan, design, develop mechanical/aerospace products.
• Develop CAD models and 3D drawings using Siemens NX/Teamcenter.
• Verify designs via modeling, simulation, test data analysis.
• Support lifecycle: design, drawings, fabrication, testing, maintenance.
• Perform sizing analyses for stress and dynamics of aerospace structures.
• Prepare reports and interface with customers during milestones.
• Mentor junior engineers and assist IPT lead with schedule.
