Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Sentinel GBSD program at Roy, UT. You will develop and deploy mechanical solutions, create PDPs, and integrate with multiple IPTs to resolve design clashes and meet program milestones.

The role requires a STEM degree, relevant design/fabrication experience, and the ability to obtain SAP approval and a Secret clearance. On-site work with potential relocation considerations is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field from an accredited university with 2 years related experience; or a master's with 1 year (Principal level requires 5 years with a bachelor's; or 3 years with a master's)
• US Citizenship with active US Government Secret Security Clearance, current and within scope
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval
• Experience with design/fabrication techniques for structural details, assemblies, and/or installations
• Experience with 3-D modeling and PLM/PDM tools

Responsibilities

• Create and implement deployable mechanical mechanisms verified through test/analysis
• Develop CAD models visualizing various design solutions
• Deliver PDPs on time to meet program objectives
• Develop Infrastructure Integration PDPs with element teams to prevent disconnects and clashes
• Identify gaps in design/requirements and provide cost-effective resolutions
• Ensure PDPs meet design requirements from item specifications
