Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal or Sr. Principal Mechanical Engineer to join the Command Systems Hardware Design Integration team in Roy, UT. The role supports the Sentinel (GBSD) program within SDS, coordinating across mechanical, electrical, and hardware teams.

The candidate will design hardware, perform CAD modeling with NX and TeamCenter CPLM, and contribute to critical design reviews while navigating a multi-disciplinary environment and security requirements.

Qualifications

• This position requires a STEM degree at minimum with several years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience CAD modeling using Siemens NX or similar is required.
• Proficiency with MS Office and scheduling tools is expected.

Responsibilities

• Join a multi-disciplinary team to design mechanical hardware systems and components.
• Apply standard processes to identify, design, and procure mechanical hardware.
• Support design reviews and create design artifacts including 3D models and product data packages.
