Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Roy, UT seeks a Mechanical Engineer at either engineer levels to design and deliver deployable mechanical systems. You will develop CAD models, create PDPs, and coordinate with multiple teams to ensure design integrity and timely objectives.

The role requires a STEM degree with related experience and an active Secret clearance; relocation assistance may be available. You will work with PLM/PDM tools and 3D modeling to solve complex engineering challenges.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree in STEM with 2 years related experience; master’s with 1 year (Principal: 5 years with bachelor or 3 with master).
Must be a US Citizen with an active Secret security clearance and eligibility for SAP approval.
Experience with design/fabrication techniques for structural details, assemblies, and installations.
Experience with PLM or PDM tools and 3-D modeling.

Responsibilities

Create and implement deployable mechanical mechanisms verified through test/analysis.
Develop CAD models visualizing various design solutions.
Deliver PDPs on time to meet program objectives.
Develop Infrastructure Integration PDPs with element teams to prevent disconnects and clashes.
Identify gaps in design/requirements and provide cost-effective resolutions.
Ensure PDPs meet design requirements from item specifications.
