Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, UT, is seeking a Principal or Sr. Principal Mechanical Engineer to join the Launch Systems Infrastructure team.

The role will support the Sentinel GBSD program, executing the Engineering and Manufacturing Development phase and delivering PDPs with IPT collaboration on campus. The candidate should have a STEM degree with extensive CAD experience (Siemens NX, Teamcenter, MBSE) and a proven track record in design, fabrication, and documentation for complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) from an accredited university with 5 years of related experience; or a master’s degree with 3 years of related experience.
• US Citizenship with active Secret clearance (within scope) at time of application.
• Experience with CAD modeling (minimum 5 years).
• Experience with design/fabrication techniques for structural details, assemblies, and installations.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement deployable mechanical mechanisms verified through test/analysis.
• Develop CAD models visualizing design solutions.
• Deliver PDPs on time to meet program objectives.
• Support all phases of the systems lifecycle from design to maintenance.
• Identify gaps and provide cost-effective resolutions.
• Ensure PDPs meet design requirements.
• Prepare and present reports and interface with customers.
