Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, UT seeks a Mechanical Engineer or Principal Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and deploy launch equipment hardware for the Sentinel program. The role involves CAD modeling, systems analysis, and collaboration with customers and engineers across the lifecycle.

Requires a US citizenship and active Secret clearance, plus at least 2 years of NX CAD experience. Relocation assistance and a 9/80 schedule are offered where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Principal level requires 5 years of experience; Master’s +3 years acceptable.
• U.S. Citizenship and a Secret Security Clearance at time of application.
• Minimum 2 years CAD modeling experience (Siemens NX preferred).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a mechanical designer for mechanical systems on a major defense program.
• Research, plan, design, and develop mechanical/aerospace products for aircraft and missiles.
• Develop CAD models and 3D drawings using Siemens NX and Team Center.
• Verify specifications through modeling, testing data, and performance analysis.
• Support all lifecycle phases from design to installation and maintenance.
• Prepare reports and interface with customers.
