Job summary

Grimmer Technology and Operations, Inc. (GTOi) is seeking a Journeyman Computer Support Specialist to provide on-site and call-center IT support for US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) under CASTLE-NET.

Secret clearance is required prior to start and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is expected. You will handle desktop hardware/software and printers, maintain a knowledge base, and escalate complex issues as needed.

Qualifications

• Secret Clearance required prior to start.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of professional, applicable experience.
• Current DoD 8570 IA Baseline Certification, IAT Level I; Security+ preferred.
• Must obtain DoD 8570 IA Computing Environment Certification within 6 months of employment.
• Experience supporting Windows 10, and MS Office 2013, MS 365.
• Experience using Service Now, Remedy or a similar ticketing system.
• Must have valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Supports USACE on-site in Bridgeport, WA; provides first and second-tier end-user support for PC, server, mainframe applications and hardware.
• Updates and maintains a knowledge base; investigates, diagnoses, and resolves incidents.
• Interacts with network services, systems engineering, and applications development to restore service or identify problems.
• Recommends system modifications to reduce user problems; maintains currency of technical skills.
• Escalates complex problems to Senior Level; provides expert technical knowledge.
