Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate or out-of-state certificate appropriate for the position; ESL certification within 1 year if not already obtained.
• Content examination and Science of Teaching Reading requirements must be met where applicable.
• Certification must meet requirements to remain qualified for this position per federal and state law.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to district philosophy of instruction and develop lesson plans aligned to district curriculum.
• Prepare lessons with accommodations for diverse learning styles and reflect TEA guidelines.
• Assess student learning styles and modify curricula with special education staff per IEP.
• Collaborate with staff to set instructional goals and manage teacher aide/volunteer assignments using technology.
