Qualifications

• Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or out-of-state certificate appropriate for position; ESL certification required during 1st year if not already obtained.
• Content exam and Science of Teaching Reading exam requirements met, if applicable.
• Certification must meet requirements for becoming and remaining qualified for this position per law.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the district's philosophy of instruction. Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of district curriculum and show written evidence of preparation as required.
• Prepare lessons reflecting accommodations for differences in student learning styles; present subject matter per TEA guidelines and policies.
• Assess student learning styles and use results to plan instructional activities; collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Work with staff to determine instructional goals and supervise teacher aides; use technology to strengthen teaching/learning.
