Responsibilities include planning engaging lessons, aligning with district curricula, assessing student progress, and collaborating with staff to support diverse learners. Exemption status applies; probationary/term contract and in-person work required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or out-of-state certificate appropriate for the position; ESL certification required during 1st year if not already obtained.
• Content exam and Science of Teaching Reading exam requirements met, if applicable.
• Certification must meet requirements for becoming and remaining qualified for this position by law.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the district's philosophy of instruction and develop lesson plans aligned with the district curriculum with written evidence of preparation.
• Prepare lessons reflecting accommodations for differences in student learning styles and present subject matter per TEA guidelines, policies and admin regs.
• Assess student learning styles and use results to plan instructional activities; collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEP guidelines.
• Collaborate with staff to determine instructional goals and supervise teacher aides/volunteers; use technology to enhance teaching/learning.
