Job summary

Spring Branch Independent School District is seeking a Secondary Classroom Teacher to implement instruction in assigned subjects under the Building Principal’s supervision.

The teacher will develop lessons aligned with the district curriculum, assess student achievement, and collaborate with staff to support diverse learners, including IEPs, while using technology to enhance learning. 188 days, exempt position, probationary/term contract.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• Valid Texas Teaching Certificate or out-of-state certificate required; ESL certification within 1st year if not yet obtained.
• Content exam and Teaching Reading exam requirements met, if applicable.
• Certification must meet state/federal requirements to remain qualified.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to district instructional philosophy and develop lesson plans with written preparation evidence.
• Provide accommodations for differences in student learning styles and align with TEA guidelines.
• Assess student learning and modify curricula with IEP considerations as needed.
• Collaborate with staff to set goals, supervise aides/volunteers, and leverage technology to enhance learning.
