Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or out-of-state certificate is required; ESL Certification due within first year if not yet obtained.
• Content exam and Science of Teaching Reading exam requirements must be met if applicable.
• Certification must meet requirements for qualification under Federal and/or State law.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and show written preparation evidence.
• Prepare lessons with accommodations for diverse learning styles; adhere to TEA guidelines and policies.
• Assess student learning and collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula as needed per IEP.
• Work with staff to set instructional goals and supervise teacher aides and volunteers; use technology to enhance learning.
• Communicate with parents and staff; maintain professional relationships with students and community.
