Job summary

Spring Branch ISD is seeking a Secondary Classroom Teacher to implement instruction in the assigned subject area(s) in a manner that fosters attainment of each student's maximum potential.

The role is classified as Professional, with 188 days of work, and a Probationary/Term contract. A valid Texas Teacher Certificate or out-of-state equivalent is required, with related content and reading exam requirements met as applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• Texas teaching certificate or out-of-state certificate required.
• Content exam and Science of Teaching Reading exam requirements met, if applicable.
• Certification must meet requirements for qualification per state and federal law.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to district philosophy; develop and implement lesson plans aligned to curriculum.
• Prepare lessons with accommodations for different learning styles; follow TEA guidelines.
• Assess learning styles; modify curricula for special education as needed (IEPs).
• Collaborate with staff to set goals; supervise teacher aides and volunteers; use tech to enhance teaching.
