Job summary

Hoffman Construction in Seattle, WA is seeking a Benefits Specialist to administer and optimize our employee benefits programs on-site. You will interpret plan documents, ensure regulatory compliance, advise employees and managers, and partner with vendors to deliver high-quality service.

Responsibilities include open enrollment, HRIS data integrity, benefits auditing, reporting, and supporting total rewards initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of benefits administration experience, including FMLA, ADA, and state paid leave programs.
• Experience with HRIS systems, payroll interfaces, and vendor management.
• Prior experience conducting benefits audits and supporting compliance initiatives preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer employee benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, voluntary).
• Review plan documents for compliance with policies and regulations.
• Manage life events, enrollments, terminations, and benefit changes accurately.
• Reconcile invoices, validate payroll deductions, resolve discrepancies.
• Liaise with carriers, brokers, and vendors; escalate complex issues.
• Lead annual open enrollment including communications and system updates.
• Audit benefits records and ensure data integrity in HRIS.
