Job summary

Hoffman Construction Company seeks a Benefits Specialist to administer and optimize employee benefits on site at our Boise, ID office. You’ll ensure compliance, advise employees and managers, and coordinate with carriers and vendors to deliver high‑quality service as part of our total rewards strategy.

The role requires 3–5 years in benefits administration, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and strong HRIS experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years’ experience in benefits administration, including FMLA/ADA and state leave.
• Experience with HRIS systems, payroll interfaces, and vendor management.
• Experience with benefits audits and compliance initiatives preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement.
• Review plan documents for compliance with policies and regulations.
• Manage life events, enrollments, terminations, and benefit changes.
• Reconcile invoices, validate payroll deductions, resolve discrepancies.
• Lead open enrollment communications and system updates.
• Conduct audits to ensure HRIS data integrity.
