Job summary

McKinstry is expanding its Data Center Innovations division in Seattle and seeks an Account Executive to oversee large and complex projects. You will set strategies and goals for successful execution, lead business development activities, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality proposals and outcomes.

The role requires proficiency in MS Office, experience reading construction plans, and a track record closing sales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management, or equivalent business experience.
• Five years of experience with a mechanical or electrical construction contractor, engineering firm or vendor.
• Two years of experience leading and closing sales.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, contracts, proposals, and estimates.
• Knowledge of building infrastructure mechanical and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of conceptual estimating is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Business Development: lead generation, customer service, proposal development, and customer acquisition.
• Produces accurate estimates and quality proposals following McKinstry guidelines.
• Builds and owns market strategies, including SWOT and competitive analyses.
• Coordinates with internal resources to ensure timely deliverables and meet requirements.
• Assists the Senior Account Executive on larger projects.
