Job summary

McKinstry Co. , LLC is seeking a Construction Account Executive to join the Seattle, WA team. This role focuses on building long-lasting client relationships and serving as the client’s solutions provider.

Responsibilities include business development, estimating, proposal development, and market strategy development to win contracts. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in electrical construction sales, strong MS Office and Salesforce skills, and the ability to read plans and specs.

Qualifications

• Must have demonstrated proficiency for all the responsibilities of a Sales Engineer.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio; Salesforce along with working knowledge of SharePoint preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management, or equivalent business experience required
• Five (5) years of experience with an electrical construction contractor required
• Five (5) years of experience leading and closing sales required
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, contracts, proposals, and estimates required
• Knowledge of building infrastructure mechanical and electrical systems required
• Knowledge of conceptual estimating preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead generation, customer service, proposal development, and customer acquisition.
• Produces accurate estimates and assembles quality proposals per McKinstry guidelines.
• Builds and owns market strategies, including SWOT and competitive analyses.
• Analyzes project potential considering market conditions.
• Keeps up to date with the marketplace.
• Partners with internal resources to meet timelines and requirements.
• Assists Senior Account Executive on larger projects.
• Coordinates with Project Team to ensure project execution.
• Provides client financing and contracting support.
• Acts as the client’s single point of accountability.
